Mine are still not listed there from my purchase I made 12 hours ago. Any est on when the serial/ registration snafu will be fixed. I called & waited for support who informed I'd have the numbers in 45 minutes, that was about 3 hours ago.

I purchased the PE 8.5 Upgrade over a week ago and although the serial and registration for 8.5 are listed under my account, Sonar X1 is not. I guess I'll have to call Cakewalk Sales...

I purchased Sonar 8.5 yesterday and have serial but no download links. However 2 threads down from this one it says that all X1 download links should be in your account by 6:00 pm edt so I will look for it then.

My email link does not work at all... It is a catch 22 link. Here is what happens: 1. The link sent me to a place to choose USD, which I did. 2. When I clicked that link it sent me to a place where I could add the download for $0.00, which I did 3. I checked out. Sounds good, right? 4. After that, it does not let me do anything. My serials show up fine, but there is no download link by them. Clicking on the details of the $0.00 order does nothing. No other links take me to the download link. Bottom line: I cannot download the friggin program... This is the twilight zone, and I will never go through it again. I give up.

It can take a while for the page to refresh with the download link. I hope you didn't exit the page... You should also receive a confirmation email with the link in it. It may take about 5 minutes for the download page to come up in your browser after you click on it.

No. I don't think you understand. There is no link. I have a confirmation email and all it does is take me to the login page where I get the runaround. That is, if I don't get "Bad Response from Server". After 13 years with CW, I finally think I've had it. It's not bad enough that the server is jammed, and that I got double-charged on the phone for the physical kit, which Seth told me he would take care of, but to not even be able to get to the damn link to DL because I don't have a link by my serial numbers. That's just BS. Let's see Pro Audio 6, 9, Sonar 1, 3, 7, 8, 8.5, X1. How is that for loyalty. And now, this charade... Hell I'm not even mad. I'm just tired of it.

Seems like this launch 'party' has been a disaster. Sorry to hear about your issues man. I'm new to Sonar and I'm already thinking they're a shady unit, using clever marketing to cover up shortcomings...As I said earlier 20000 emails at 200 bytes a pop would fit through 56k modem faster than this. I don't believe they sent anything...and where is the effin user manual?!!

Well, in Cakewalk's defense, this is a massive undertaking. I work as a programmer for an online game publisher and I'm fairly confident I know exactly what they're going through this week. Believe me, none of the web developers and operations folks have been sitting around the past few months brainstorming ideas for how best to piss off customers. Even the best laid plans end up with glitches: there are just too many variables involved. And I know when something goes wrong they're not sitting in their towers going, "Bwaaa ha ha ha!" I hate to admit it, but billing systems I've written have, in the past, accidentally double billed customers and I feel sick to my stomach when it happens. We've had launches where our online store is slow. There's always something going to go wrong with a live system that you couldn't possibly catch in the QA and staging environments. Fortunately, we've always get it sorted out, but as a responsible developer, I take it very personally. I can't imagine the Cakewalk operations group doesn't feel the same. I feel bad about your experience, metal_bassist, I really do. Because I know it feels like this should go flawlessly. And it's even worse because it does feel like a personal affront to a long-time customer. There must be something about this product and/or company you do like to have stuck with them so far. I hope this gets cleared up for you soon and you're back to making music again. In the meantime, let's look at the silver lining: the cause of the problems is this massive customer surge Cakewalk is experiencing. And all things being equal, I'd take this over crickets chirping and tumbleweeds rolling by. We'll get through the launch hump in a couple days and then appreciate the fact we're part of a vibrant thriving community using a product very much alive and well. Charlie

I'm another one who still doesn't have a DL link. The email that has a link to get the files takes me to the account page only and not the files. And so there is no way to get to the DL because there still is no DL link beside SONAR X1. It's 10:42 pm Pacific Time.

Instead of following the main "Download" link in the Store (after you've "bought" the free upgrade), which takes you back to your account page (where there should be a file download link, but isn't), see if you find an "alternative download link" shown farther down the page. Try using that instead... it takes you directly to the "Download your File(s)" page where the download links are.

I ran into this same problem: logging in to my account shows, "My Downloads" which simply repaints the page: http://www.store.cakewalk.com/b2cus/myaccount.aspx My Sonar X1 purchase shows up there but without a download link. I can click 'Details', however, but when I do, it takes me to a page that says I'm "not authorized to view this order." Interesting. Opened up the email which has this download link: http://www.store.cakewalk../b2cus/mydownloads.aspx That takes me to the page with the (multiple) links for downloading. About to embark on my second attempt, since the first download froze up after downloading "2.9 of 2.9 GB". :(

I'm in the same boat with HumbleNoise. From what I understand the serials go out after your order is revewed/verified. I have the product downloaded, just waiting on the serial number which I assume I will get sometime today.

Brandon, I followed the links in my order conformation email and no X1 serial numbers or recent orders were listed. When I click on your link the page at least lists Sonar X1 at the top, but no serial number or regcode.
