Finishing and Polishing Full Drums

Ok so I've got a full track in synth drums, have tweaked each individual drum with PX64, gotten them how I like them, and routed them all to a drum bus.

Now what's the next step for polishing the overall kit to give it as good and realistic a sound as possible?

In the CakeTV video, Seth recommends applying some bus compression. But is this a regular application? What exactly is the purpose of bus compression for a drum kit?

Or should I apply some light reverb to make the kit sound more unified?

What about the new Pro Channel?

Any advice from experienced hands would be much appreciated :) Thanks.

BTW, for reference of the type of sound I am going for, see such bands as Chimaira, DevilDriver, Pantera, etc.

when you bus the drums you want to compress them too, i usually give them 6db gr on the buss, 2-1/4-1 ratio, has them sitting nice in the mix, same time there no set way of doing it, the pro channel is great in my opinion, try the 4k type compressor on the buss, and eq to taste, like i said there is no real right and wrong way of doing it my man, peace
