Firefox issues again, but now...
...can't even load the forum at all on Firefox 17.0.1 (on latest release) - just getting 'HTTP error 400. The request is badly formed'. Tried clearing cache/history and restarting pc...i don't come here that often anymore but won't bother at all if it involves using another browser...anyone got any ideas?!

FF 3.6.28 works for me with no issues. Dunno why FF seem to have gone version mad of late, if it aint broke an' all that. Then again, if the massive effort of opening another browser is too much effort to go to for any given activity, then that probably tells you all you need to know. Missing you already ...... ;)

To be honest I'm starting to think that Internet Explorer doesn't look so bad these days. Chrome has a ton of bugs too. Sometimes a tab will "break" in that I can't load any other site other than the one that's already in it.

I was reading the OP while my machine was downloading the FF update. 17.0.1 seems to run just as well as any of the other recent releases.

Firefox here but I got off the update-new-version-twice-a-week-madness and went back to version 5, that's where I am now. Works great.

I just updated to the latest. I didn't disappear. <sigh> I guess IETab still works with the new version. Having said that 17,000,000,001 works fine and dandy everywhere else it seems to go... except here...when IETab takes over.

This truly does seem to be one of the only websites on the net that doesn't play well with FF. I made pontificagestion at one point that if they are concerned about the database they could just design a completely new site, leave this one in place and shut down all commenting then allow people to reference this version as an archive. Not ideal but man... they gotta do something because I think eventually even IE won't work on this outdated software... if it even does properly at the moment. And ASPP must have some way to implement an upgrade without losing the archives. Also there are so many tech guru lunatics running around here why don't they just bribe one with some free Cake to sort it out? Hell... I could summon up some nerds who are looking for work who could probably do it. They'd want money though.

jamesg1213 It would be a shame not to see you around Mark. Just use Chrome, Firefox will never play nice with this old forum software. By the way, this might interest you; http://www.magpiechatter.co.uk/fr_home.cfm ah i'll have a listen to that show at some point. new EP from Tim, eh? gotta be worth a listen. nobody knows the answer re FF then...odd. I use opera browser on my phone so maybe i'll just use that for here...
