Firepod dropout

When recording using Sonar7, Windows Vista and a Presouns FirePod, sometimes the recording stops and the sync light on the firepod is red. I have to stop and restart the Presonus driver and Sonar 7 to fix the problem but I have missed part of a song.

    I have two Presonus Firepods daisy chained together with Vista - no drop outs
    Raise your buffers in Sonar I think I have mine set at 512
    I use the latest drivers..Turn off wireless networking while recording.
    I used Blackviper (blackviper.com) to tweak my vista registry to run better
    Mcafee and Norton may cause some dropouts - I use AVG for virus protection

    also make sure you have a Ti chipset on your firewire card
    Presonus have the Dice 2 chipset and favor the Ti cards
    other firewire cards may cause sync issues

    look on newegg.com or tigerdirect.com or somewhere similar for one
    if you don't have one
