First Music Video From My Upcoming 3rd Album

I am super excited to share my new song "Butterfly" and its music video, the first from my upcoming 3rd album, Head Like Fire. This entirely CG animated music video was created by an amazing visual effects artist (and fellow Sonar user) Tobias Steiner.

Would love to hear your thoughts. You may have seen my comments recently about how much I was loving learning how to really make use of the ProChannel (and iZotope Ozone 6) to better my mixing and mastering, as well as dealing with multi-outs for better CPU management, and this is the project I was doing it all for haha. So Hopefully things sound even better than some of my previous work. :-)

Thanks for watching :-) I will say that the album version is going to be a little bit longer with a bit more of a buildup at the end but the piece was originally conceived to be even more ambient and I just couldn't help myself from building up at least somewhat haha :-) Also with the limited budget we had to work with, we had to keep the visual aspect shorter so that's part of the reason for the shortened length.

That was pretty cool!   I think you did a nice job matching up the music to the animation. 

Wow. Would not change anything... Well mixed/mastered. Not as over compressed as most music in this genre which lets it breathe more...Video is top notch too. Well done!

Glad you're all digging the video. Happy to announce we just got our first 2 Official Selections at film festivals, the International Animation Film Festival in Poland and the Apex Short Film & Music Video festival in Tuscon. :-) I'm going to keep pushing this video as hard as I can. We've gotten a little press on it and the plays keep going up. Very excited for it.
 
And to Tom I'm sure my dad would totally dig the Barbershop Quartet version, but that would be seriously a weird choice for this video :-) haha
 
Oh and to patm300e, thank you. I actually stopped everything to put myself through like a 48 hour Youtube school on mixing to try to up my game because I had a good feeling about this video haha, so I worked my butt off trying to get the song to sound the best I could. :-)

Thanks! We're almost to 5000 plays now and I just finally finished the new album that "Butterfly" is on. Aiming for a December 6th release date. Took me forever to get everything just right but after I test it in a couple more stereos (I've got a couple superstitious stereos I always have to test my releases in haha) it's gonna be ready :-)
