Hey Norman,
I had a similar experience about a month ago. I bought a MacBook Pro, then decided to buy Logic Studio to go with it.
I learnt something very valuable from it. Unsurprisingly I sounded exactly the same recording myself on a Mac with Logic as I do with a PC and Sonar.
No doubt a lot of people will say look at all that extra expense etc blah blah blah. However I learnt that when recording audio, the DAW used has absolutely nothing to do with the music that we make.
I now feel that the inferior/superior complex of which DAW I'm using has been lifted and I can finally see it for what it is/ was.
