First attempt at using GTP3 - UPDATED

I guess this is the place to share our efforts.

This is just a bit of noodling around while starting to come to grips with GTP3 - I've just scratched the surface so far but I'm enjoying using it. Quite intuitive software.

Bill - good stuff my friend.

After listening to your other non-GT stuff, I'd say for your first GT3 project you've nailed it!

Trouble is, you'll have to re-record all the rest of 'em now Bill!!

    Seriously - a great debut from GT3.

You have a nice slinky tone there Bill. I think I need a few smokes after listening to this. Care to share what you're using on this?? ( guitar, amp,, etc.) Good tune.

Sure, Guitar is a Fender Prodigy (sort of like a Strat lite, they don't make 'em any more but I like it).

Straight to Disc via a Line 6 tone Port UX2.

I've gotta say I've been listening to some of the stuff by the guys here, I've finally found where all the good musicians hang out and I'm starting to feel a little intimidated!

Bill, i like the rhythm guitar chords sitting behind those soaring leads. My girl's parrot, who likes it when I play guitar, was singing loudly to this. That's a sure credit to you.

    Bill I'm confused...not familiar with GTR3 but I do use Guitar Rig 3 and Line 6 UX2.
My question is; are you using the Line 6 as an input for your guitar and then using GTR 3 as a plugin?
Anyway that's the way I take what you've said.

    Hah - Now I'm confused!!

Line 6 UX2 for the input and GTP3 (Guitar Tracks Pro 3) for recording.

Thanks all for the positive comments.

Finally got myself a bass guitar - so I revisited this piece I first recorded and added a bass line

I've got a lot to learn about playing bass but I'm having a lot of fun with it - wish I'd picked up the bass years ago

    Latest version with bass

    Original (no bass)

Hey Bill, that was super enjoyable to listen to, if that`s noodling, just keep on doing it, cause i was in such a daze, at how cool it sounded, that i was upset that it cut off at the 2mins , that kind of noodling needs to go on for another 4 or five minutes at least, so when you get a longer version post it and call it Major Daze, i loved this, i need more.

Seriously though - people get upset if you noodle too long on guitar these days. The days of the 15 minute guitar solos are far behind us now [sniff ] But I'll definitely steal that name (Major Daze).

Waves GTRSOLO - great marketing ploy - free for 12 moths! Worth a look, what have I got to lose?

    I`m always available.

I think those days would come back if people were listening to you. You don`t have to steal it it`s yours.

Time is the only thing you might lose, but that depends on if you enjoy playing around with new toys or not.
