First full band tracking session with X2
Here's the result of my first full band session with X2; a cover of Springsteen's "Pink Cadillac" done by a band I play with called 33 and a third. The instruments were tracked live and the vocals dubbed later. Six tracks recorded on the instruments; guitar (through a Pod), bass (direct), and four mics on the drums. All effects are plugs that come with X2 Producer except Ozone 5 used for the "mastering" Hope you enjoy it, we had a ball doing it! Pink Cadillac

way cool & retro... love the Peter Gunn theme... nice recording, maybe a little wet for my taste... I think a short "rockabilly" slapback would work better...

Excellent cover, Bob. You sound enough like Bruce to fool some people. I had a ball listening.

Sounds like it was recorded in a Stadium. In a good way, that is.

Frank- Maybe I overdid it a bit, I was going for the sound on the original..... Lynn- Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it! This is the first Springsteen song I've ever done.....maybe I should try more, LOL. Bapu- If only there had been 50,000 people in the stadium! (nah, I'd probably crap my britches, heh) Thanks for the listens and the comments guys!

very cool. You have managed to keep the live feel and not produced the life out of it.

Sweet... that was a fun song to play back in the day.... my band covered it too. I enjoyed the song. Good job on the cover. I love the double entendre' in the words.... Bruce is a car guy but yeah.... this goes well beyond simply a song about cars.....
