Fixed in 2016.09 - CWBRN-53625 - Scroll bug - 2016.05 through 2016.08
In track view, with the project not playing, if I want to scroll to the right in the timeline, clicking on the scrollbar the first time advances the project, the second time doesn't, the third time does, the fourth time doesn't, etc. Can someone confirm? This is happening on my new daw build as well as my laptop...

Bob, It appears that if I single click quickly (less than 1 sec between clicks) on the blank area of the scroll bar that I can reproduce the behavior you are seeing. If I click and pause approximately a second, then scroll functions as expected. Hope this helps, -- Ron

I'm sure it didn't behave this way before...

I rolled back to 2016.05 and the scroll bar performs the same as 2016.06. I then rolled back to 2016.04, which was the version before the addition of themes and the scroll bar works correctly allowing quick single clicks. The change in behavior was introduced in 2016.05, probably introduced with the theme enhancement. -- Ron

The scroll bar in the Piano Roll View in 2016.06 and 2016.05 exhibits the same behavior change that requires a pause between clicks.

Bob - you need to put in a report ticket and put the CWBRN in the title, please.

In the mean time, if you wish to scroll quickly by clicking inside the scrollbar, try holding down the mouse key...works wonderfully.

Try using Ctrl+Scroll Wheel instead; it's quicker and more flexible anyway, especially if used in combination with Ctrl+Alt+Scroll Wheel to zoom (horizontal-only in my setup). I also frequently use Prev/Next Measure and Prev/Next Marker keyboard shortcuts (mine are non-default) to get around. For me, the scroll bars and zoom buttons are a last resort for navigating the timeline; they're too small a target and often too long a reach from where I'm working.

CTRL+Mousewheel is what I can recommend, never let me down also I'd bet that if you don't clear (all) Sonar settings, then it won't get fixed by upgrade/downgrade, gustabo ;)

Do any of you use a track pad instead of a mouse? Maybe it's related (maybe not) : I'm no longer able to scroll horizontally using two fingers in the console view. The scrollbar seems to work on my setup though. (I can still use two fingers scrolling I earlier versions).
