Flash Cards for shortcuts

I want to share something useful...

If you go here, you can download a flashcard program...
http://www.mnemosyne-proj.org/

I took all of the shortcut info from the help files to make this card deck...
http://stabilitynetwork.blob.core.windows.net/sn-blob/sonar.mem

I learn a lot of tricks by cycling through this card deck and I thought it might be worth sharing it.

:-)

Hope it helps you.

Up to Version 8.5 we regularly used to get various members contribute a number of charts with Shorcuts listed  by a variety of means eg alphabetically , screen etc.

I keep mine as a set of A4 pages that I've laminated that I can keep right next to my keyboard. Gradually over a few months you get very fluid with your work and you actually learn a lot about the deeper features of the program.

I think that's one of the reasons that SONAR X1 caused such a furire early on because all that learning went down the tubes. In a pro studio where minutes saved can really add up work flow can mean everything.

I've tried the program but just seeing one shorcut at a time isn't much help while working.
I'll have to check it out a bit more, Thanks for takiung the trouble.

I copied the shortcuts to a spread sheet and arranged them to my liking.  Made a special list of those I use but forget frequently.  Also added my key bindings.  Being in a better format for me, and searchable, it is a good help, but doesn't promote the learning.

Many right-click and menu items in X1 do not show the keyboard equivalent like many programs.  If X1 did just that, it would foster my remembering them.
