Floating Scrollbar?

Why am I getting a floating scrollbar here?

Every so often while scrolling up a page the scrollbar at the bottom goes up with the page...is this some sort of split page thing on this forum?

Happens nowhere else but here....

don't know - I'm on IE and I don't see anything like what you're talking about, sorry.

janet said she was having problems with the forum not allowing her to post or change settings yesterday and she was using firefox.

    mmm...definitely odd that...

I'm sort of wondering about FF lately as a couple of forums I'm on have been having issues with that one too...

Speaking of which, I occasionally get the pop-up blocker (IE7 here) appear for no apparent reason on forum pages.

No idea why, anyone else seen that?

Perhaps you were going to post in the thread about "who's drinking a beer" except you can't because you've been drinking several.

Or perhaps it's the coffee down here.

Do all forums NOT support iTouches and iPads (Safari)?

Yes, I see it often ever since the new forum software was implemented and I have told "The Willy" about it but at the time I was the only one complaining about it even tho it happens to me on any computer I use, home or at work.

I've seen that on occasion here on my IE8 as well that a pop up blocker will show up...

Better than getting a red google page though...

It's definitely been mentioned before Beag - I even remember it coming up in conversation in the 'old' Upstairs. I recall being told by one of the fanboys it couldn't happen because the forum doesn't use pop-ups...

... so I shoved a screenshot up - the silence was deafening

yep - I sent The Willy a screenshot as well, but they don't know what causes it.  and there's nothing that's really blocking.  you can "unblock" all popups from the forum URL and it still happens.

    what's "red google"?

    Beag, it's Google that's red.

The clue is sort of in the wording there mate

Green Google is better for the planet....... because it's 'green'

About a week or so ago here I had some interesting things occur on this site...

First off it was not loading like it usually does..quick...and with my log-in name on it...Second, when it did I could not get my password accepted..so I asked for a reset...no joy in the email department...so I rejoined using a 2 instead of a 1 on my username. Very NEXT day I find 3 emails in my inbox with resets...

Now, the scrollbar occurs only on occasion here...when the silly page loads extra wide...and then...to add to the general scenario..it will occasionally go up with the page as I scroll down the page...sometimes masking a sentence or some such...very annoying in that one then has to highlight the scrollbar and left click to get rid of it...

The space you have will always be exceeded in direct proportion to the amount of stuff you have...Thornton's Postulate.
