Nice display of songwriting talent. This is just a fantastic tune. This has a nice 60's feel to it - a bit like the Beatles - great melody - great vocals.

I love this.

From one songwriter to another -- thank you.

your chit is always top notch
this one though, is a sort of departure for you?

what I like most is the level at which you mastered, or rendered this
you did not go for the loudness quotient
I turned up the volume! because you showed some restraint.

I want to fly too!!!

You might be lost like everyone else, but you certainly bring it home to Momma on this one

I think you have some nice melodic ideas, but for me they didn't connect. The setup wasn't worth the payoff and the payoff wasn't worth getting set back up until the very end of the chorus line - that's the strongest part IMO. Your bridge is cool, but again, some strange choices that are not exactly reinforced by everything else that's going on.

It's not that it's bad, it's that the good parts are getting muted by some of your other decisions. I hear timing issues on some of the instruments...small ones, but enough that my critical is additionally bothered by them. Probably wouldn't notice if the melody was stronger, but I found myself noticing.

I agree with Bapu, you have a lot of those influences in here that are cool and I frankly loved the use of major and minor 7ths.

I like it, it has a homely 70's feeling, almost like a comforting TV theme. And I hear various influences from other songs in it, just snatches of melody or chords. For instance there's a chord change in there which reminds me a little of Oliver's Army by Elvis Costello, and a fleeting whiff of "Stop Your Sobbing" by the Pretenders.
