Focal Alpha speakers

While I've heard the Twins only, and thought they were nice.... but nothing to compare against??  I wonder how these Alpha speakers stack up against their much higher priced cousins.... at about 1/3rd the price.
 
Focals seem to be the modern day rage.  Not just wanting to buy a brand name, but wondering if they're that good.  My only research online seems to indicate they're setting the sub $1k standard in monitor speakers with this new line of Focals, that basically just came out in the last couple months.

That said, currently using the Yamaha's HS80m which seem pretty decent and wonder if I should just stick with them.
