Focusrite 2i4 (2nd Gen) MIDI - 32-bit Sonar vs 64-bit Sonar and 64-bit BandLab Cakewalk

I have a MIDI keyboard connected to my 2i4 via MIDI cables.  When I play the keyboard in 32-bit SPLAT, all works fine - playing a note on the keyboard causes note to play VST synth in Sonar and sound to be produced.  However, when I do the same in either 64-bit SPLAT or BandLab Cakewalk, no MIDI signal is received.  Since 32-bit and 64-bit SPLAT share hardware settings, etc. (TTSSEQ.INI, AUD.INI, etc.), I know it's not a setup issue.  Nevertheless, I have confirmed that Focusrite MIDI is checked in Preferences/MIDI/Devices in 64-bit SPLAT (and in BandLab Cakewalk).  What could I be doing wrong?

Never mind. I did what I would have told anyone asking me the same question to do - I rebooted my computer. Sure does solve a lot of problems.
