Focusrite 6i6 1st gen drivers

I can't find any specific info on if or when Focusrite will update their drivers for my Scarlett 6i6 1st generation. There is no info available with their FAQ so I thought that someone on this Sonar Forum would have some info. The driver I am using is from 2014, which is the latest one on their site. Their Beta driver seems to be forever in Beta. I was wondering if Focusrite were dragging their heels to direct people to upgrading to 2nd gen interfaces. Overall, I am very happy with my 6i6, but when you think that Windows has undergone major changes, ie. Win10, I would like to think that with a more recent driver I could expect even more improvements with latency and there new control panel.
Cheers

Driver 1.8 has been all they have given us for going on 3 years now.   I myself do not expect they will ever offer anything better. I doubt if there's anything that needs improving that can be improved. It's a rock solid driver and I doubt if they get complaints.

Updated drivers are for bug fixes.   And you can't expect better latency  with any interface that uses hidden buffers. You need to go  up there to brands like Motu & RME. It is what it is, a budget interface for hobbyist.

The RTL does not change for me on any system. I have used it on many computers,, W7, W8.1 and W10, Old duo cores, Gaming i7's... 4 Gigs RAM- 16 Gigs RAM etc,,  and the performance has never changed by more than a decimal point.

It doesn't owe me a cent at this point, 3 years is a good time to think about my next upgrade. It won't be another Focusrite. Nothing against the company, they are great, but I want better pre's next time, these are shabby. And better RTL might be worthwhile someday. Right now it is not hampering my set up as everything is direct monitored.

Pretty disappointing how little they update, even just in terms of information. That said my 2i4 has been working well lately.

I had some issues with my 18i20 (1st gen) when I upgraded to Windows 10, and I worked with Focusrite support over a couple of weeks to resolve the problems.  It was finally solved by using the latest beta firmware update and beta mix control and drivers.  Everything is working well now.
