Focusrite Liquid Shaphire 56 users?

Any Focusrite Liquid Shaphire 56 users out there? Do you like the 56 and the and the Saffire MixControl software? Does it play well with X2? I am thinking about a purchase so just curious. Thanks, gs

User here my first interface was the LS 56. With Mix 3.0 the  sync dropout issues are worked out. The liquid pres are nice, but subtle. The mix software is very flexible  and allows all kinds of routings.

Be sure your FW chip set has the Focusrite "approved chips" on it. There is a list on the site, but generally the TI set works. Also there was some issues with legacy FW drivers vs the manufactures one, I think we are back to legacy drivers with Mix 3.0

I am presesntly using the Pro DSP24, but still switch to the LS. I have had varying sucess linking the two together, so it one or the other.

Bottom line, a little pricy but solid quality and sound and very flexiable.

Thanks MM100 for the input! I had heard about the driver problems and am aware of the TI FW chips. I am looking at the Presonus 1818VSL, however, the 56 monitor software seems quite a bit more flexible (but more $$$). I also have an ISA 428 and it is top notch, so I expect that of the 56. Ultimately, I may be trying to kill to many birds with one stone, but what I am also trying to put together is a good cue system and I am looking at the Behringer PowerPlay P16 system. The ADAT I/O of the 56 into the PowerPlay ADAT looks like it will solve a few problems down the road and be quite expandable. Take care, gs
