Since I installed the drivers from the internet last year I have not had any problems with my focusrite. So, what are the benefits apart from Legacy firewire drive. Mine is working exceptionally well without the latest greatest. Unless I am having problems. I feel no need for them. But thanks anyway!

Pragi: I'm glad to hear you're seeing improvements from MixControl 3.0. Dappa1: Aside from no longer needing to use the Legacy Firewire driver, Saffire MixControl features a new version of the Saffire driver and should give you increased performance. I understand your position on not updating unless you have problems. While we always recommend being on the latest version of your drivers, if you have no issues with 2.4, I suppose there is no reason to change.

Same to me, dappa, the only reason why I installed the new driver is that the latency is ca 3ms shorter on my sys cause I can use smaller buffer-sizes and it´running stabile as before. I remember that "Never change a running system",but why not trying to make it run better? Cheers And thanks for the update ,matt!

I upgraded from 2.2 with no problems using the standard Firewire driver (non-legacy).

No updates for my Scarlett. :-( The Scarlett series is (much?) newer though... But I've never turn down an update that results in decreased latency.

I like new stuff. ;-p Yup, me too. Particularly when it's really cool, and yet at the same time free.
