Focusrite VRM Box with Layla 24

Hi. Bought the VRM Box as I travel a good deal and wanted to trial something that could give me guide mixes on the road. While no panacea, I would descried it as a device that works exactly as advertised and as such my respect for Focusrite has increased yet further. But looking at it another way, for $99 it's a bloody miracle!!

Anyway, I do have one small issue. I'm using it at the moment with a Layla 24 on Win7, X1 & SF10, with ASIO drivers as I cant get WDM to work at all since I moved to Win7. All good.

But I cant seem to get the Box to receive signal via s/pdif whilst outputting to the audio outs of the Layla 24 simultaneously. At the moment, it's one or the other. This would be good for comparison purposes. As I'm new to ASIO and as I cant get WDM to work, I'm not sure if this is a function of ASIO or ... what?

No biggie. Just curious.
Thanks all.
FS

I'm not sure you can output to more than one device. I'd set up the layla to output spdif to the box. A lot of times with interfaces that also act as D/A converters you have to set the settings up while its plugged in. So check the settings and make sure they are set up and have the same settings as your layla will when its sending signal to it.
