You can tell they have fun too and aren't just mailing it in for some money.
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!

I love that band! Foo Fighters was the name of a band I was in 1974 but it didn't last but man was it fun. A motown band

covers: let's see, alice cooper's 'under my wheels' which the lead guitarist sang. Queen's "under pressure' which taylor hawkins and grohl sang together.... during the 4 song encore, they covered tom petty's 'break down' in very solid foo fashion., and AC/DC's "let there be rock" which rocked every bit as hard as the original. pretty bad @ss.

Saw their headline set at Glastonbury this year (about 3 hours) and thought that they were superb even though I wouldn't particularly call myself a fan of their music. I do like Dave Grohl a lot though, he seems like he would be a great guy to hang out with for a while.

Yea, to that observation, Grohl was continuously asked the light designer to turn the lights on over the crowd so he could see who he was singing to, and he noticed a young girl wearing protective headphones who had been at the front on the floor for most of the night. He invited her and her father to the stage, where they were given chairs, water and an on-stage view of the rest of the concert. and he continued to cuss like a long shoreman...

I saw them live in about 2005 or so (foggy mems) on the insistance of my bandmate (who even paid for my ticket). We were doing a whole buttload of FF covers and since they were in town he thought it would be good for us. It was a totally crap venue though. Like just this huge warehouse place filled with Canucker style hockey yobbos and their weird girlfriends. Sound was just awful except MAYBE right in front of the stage which was jamcrammed with aforementenioned yobbos attempting to kind of confusedly do a surburbanite "pit" type thing? I was able to watch from the side a bit so I could kind of hear but honestly I think the sound was so bad THEY couldn't hear WTH was going on... but still were plowing through things. I mostly just wanted to get the frack outta there though and away from the clutch of drunken fratboys. Thing is I'm not the biggest FF fan in the world BUT I do enjoy their heavier and/or quirkier tunes and "Low" is actually one of my favorite modern rock toons ever. Those are the ones I liked to play. However I am a massive Dave Grohl fan and would love to work with him. His work with Nirvana, QOTSA and that ProBot thing he did were all top teir to me and he seems like a really nice guy whole loves music as ridiculously and foolishly as much as I do. People used to tell me I looked like him all the time too when I was teenager. Beeps ain't so pretty no more. lulz
