For Alesis Fusion 8HD Users

OK, first of all, I've come back to 8.5.3 since X2 has changed so many basic features it's useless to me. So, I'm still trying to make the process of "automating" the patch selection, and communication between Sonar, and my Alesis Fusion 8HD. I've posted this same post on Alesis' site, but I want to see if there are any suggestions here. Ideally, I'm trying to create, and assign a MIDI Template on the Fusion that can be stored with the Sonar project. The MIDI Templates on the Fusion 8HD are a great idea...if they would ever work. As far as I'm aware, there's no provision for making those templates a SysEx Msg. Therefore, there's no way to permanently link the template with a DAW (Sonar 8.5.3) project so that project pulls up, and knows the exact patches to pull up. Even when I choose the instruments from Sonar's Bank/Patch it doesn't always work. I will say that rather than using the Omni Ch. setting, I set it to "Absolute" channels so I don't accidentally edit the wrong channel. That's just the way I do it. So, having said that, is there any way someone here knows of that I can "attach" a Fusion MIDI Template to a DAW project so it saves that Template with the DAW project, or SOMETHING so when I pull up the project it simply plays EVERYTHING, at the SAME TIME correctly?
