For Bapu
Ed, You probably know Mixbus better than most here so and I'm sure I'd get an answer sooner than on the Mixbus forum so I wanted to ask if you can help me. I'm running Mixbus 3.3-15 64bit. Both My displays resolution are 1920x1080. There are no scroll bars in the track view anymore to scroll left and right or up and down. I remember them being there in the earlier version. Any idea's why the scroll bars are not there anymore. I also wanted to ask you what the xrun and DSP is. I appreciate if you can help.

What are xruns? it's a buffer under-or-overrun, X stands for under or over. It's a sign that your system did not process some buffers in time, so some data is missed. It is particularly true when you run at very low buffer size where the sound card should process incoming buffers very fast (overrun). Some chips cannot cope with small buffer sizes, so you have to increase the buffer length to ease the work done by the sound chip. In my experience, you'll get a couple just from booting up Mixbus...then it's fine. I have read that the 48khz setting helps. Mixbus has a preference where it will list the xruns (up top by the dsp readings). a "shift click will zero them out" so you can see if your getting xruns after the initial bootup. I'll have to have Mixbus in front of me to answer anything else.

Thanks Clint for explaining the xruns. My projects are 48k/24bit. I've noticed these xruns even with a 1024 buffer setting. I've finally gotten around to using Mixbus more and am liking it.

Sorry for the late response. Clint addressed xruns. As far as the scroll bars it seems they have decided that the colored bar at the bottom of the track listing is your vertical and horizontal scroll "bar". I'm pretty used to that now.

Thanks Ed. The problem I have is that I don't see any type of scroll bar in the track view no matter what resolution I set the display to. Is it something I have to enable in the settings or something?

For the xrun thingy... right click up in the area that the dsp % is showing and click on "xrun" This will show when a xrun occurs. shift click to reset.

DSP means "digital signal processing" Mixbus 3.3.72 uses a lot of DSP, but there is also a lot going on under the hood of Mixbus.

Thanks Clint, I would have never found this. Takes up a bit of screen but I can get used to it.

I also notice that the track or bus you have selected shows on the track view. That's a nice touch.

Yeah I like that too. I wish SONAR had that feature (even if it was just an option).
