For lack of a better location....
I'll ask here. I have owned a pair of (passive, non-powred) multimedia speakers, purportedly these ones, for about 13 years:
http://www.amazon.com/Hewlett-Packard-Audio-Speakers-2264098/dp/B0001AOD8O (Which are the HP Polk Audio 2264098)
Back 13 yrs ago, they gave a reasonable output level on my old-skool HP Pavilion on Line-Out. Now my problem is that the only output that gives a reasonable output level is headphone jack on the front of my PC, and that's pretty inconvenient for the rest of the family.
I just need a pair of speakers that I can have for general multimedia, maybe showing off my latest works. Sadly, these guys are extra weak, and I am hoping someone has a solution.
Thanks!
