For percussionists only

This is an improvised sequence combining a Korg wavedrum and a traditional trap set.

Hybrid Drums

I placed the wavedrum on top of my floor tom tom. Most of the beats are traditonal bossa, samba, and Art Blakey inspired grooves. I used sticks, mallets, and bare hands. There's no multitracking. It's a combination of sampled drums and acoustic drums in one improvised session.

Percussionists enjoy!

All others abandon hope.

Is the tempo all matching in this? Now all you have to do is incorporate it into a piece of music. You could convert it to a sample in Acid Pro and have several samples you could use in different songs. It is very long, so I stopped listening about half way through, but get the idea. Not bad for an experiment. Sounds good. Happy New Year!!

I've always been curious about the Korg wavedrum, and now I can hear an example of it.  However, as Tony of twisted6s said, the overall volume is WAY too low.  A little mastering would enhance this l o n g piece quite well.

    All the best,
    Lynn

Interesting sounds that you are producing.  Ditto on the volume -- it is a bit too low.  I would like to hear some other instrumentation added to this or better to portions of this.  Do you have any plans to add to this or were you concentrating on experimenting with the percussive sounds?
