I've been reading a lot about piracy on these threads over the last few days...
    Whats the deal??
Is sonar being cracked on a regular like a bag of walnits, or something? I'm sure most who have a cracked version will at some time get serious about it and buy...OR fall off.
I've been a user since version 5, after falling off Logic 5.5, and after a year can say i'm (finally) getting to grips with it. I've been legal from day 1, but don't really care who is or not as long as Cake continue to make profits; and if you guys and myself are anything to go by, thats a given!
    So yeah, whats the deal?
    peace

    ORIGINAL: jinga8

I found a way to sell cracked hardware...yes hardware, not software. What I do is, I buy like 50 TVs or PCs or Synths. Then I take a screwdriver with the intent of replicating the circuitboards and wiring inside. When I realize I have no idea what I'm doing and that I don't even know what circuitboard means, nevermind what one looks like (isn't it a portable diving board they take from diving event to diving event-you know, around the diving circuit?), I get really, really pissed and I take a hammer and "crack" the hardware. That way I can sell it for WAY less than it cost the original buyer (me) or even give it away for free on my preferred peer-to-peer network (the dudes at the junkyard - they peer at me like I'm a pretty, pretty girl - don't ask). This way I'm giving people a chance to try out this new hardware before they buy a new copy. Is this a good business plan? I mean, I'm not hurting anyone, and if Sony or Alesis or Roland lose a couple customers, at least they have the tens of thousands of dollars that I gave them to get the original copies in the first place. I'm smart!!!

BTW, Is Sonar 6.2 out yet? (my feeble, feeble attempt to not be thrown into OT land right away)

Your ongoing feeble attempts at wit and humor are really starting to bore the hell out of me. : )
