Forum Administrator... A kind REQUEST.
Could you please add sub catagories so we can have X1, X2, X3 etc. Its taking quite a while to scan through various threads since X3 has been released and it would make it a lot easier to find the information. Many thanks Gary

Categorizing like X1, X2, X3 is probably not a good idea because they share many features. So, if subcategories are needed, something like "Producer/Studio-only contents" (e.g. Melodyne, Addictive drums) and "X Series Common Contents" would be ideal (to me ).

+1 Many topics are common or related, so what really helps to differentiate them is a really descriptive subject line. Some thread posters excel at this... and details within the post are even better. A "descriptor" tag would be nice, for sure, but not sure if the forum can be made to do so.

IMO It creates the possibility of your post getting overlooked by someone that could solve your problem as a lot if people frequent only one or two parts of the whole forums.

True. For example, the Studio One forum has eight subcategories (!) and I only check two of them. Creating that many subcategories is a bad idea for them considering their forum isn't very active. On the other hand, this forum has been very active these days but that also means some people might only check the first 10-20 threads on the first page even though the second page might also have new or updated threads they might be able to help. Anyway, I think the Getting Started forum should be merged into this forum. I hardly check that one. Feel guilty for new users...

May I suggest that the first letters in your post be X1, X2, or X3. For example, X2 - Problem with V-Vocal or X3 problem with take lanes. If we made the effort to add a couple letters to each post, this issue would go away.

As we are talking about forums I'm digging the software upgrade (finally, I hope it gets updated regularly now!). However please remove the CAPTCHA when logging in. Totally unnecessary and can make life very hard with tablets. Thank you Cake...

I just took the suggestion to add it in my signature as it seems to be relative in most cases here.

Fine. Done. I think the forum should require all vendors to disclose the fact that they are a vendor - so we know who is ultimately trying to sell us something - (even when they say they're not). TBH, 'signatures' here are really distracting and mostly a waste of space. Pertinent data may be a good idea here, but knowing every kind of cable a person has, what their meme and philosophy is and a site banner to boot (all done in normal or large size font) isn't what I need to scroll through to get to the next comment. It's a good idea, just keep it simple (and small).

+1 for Bapu subforum. ;-)
