Forum Issues?

I don't know for sure but my guess is that CW is still teaking the new forum software and perhaps testing some things out.

That could be the reason why some here have noticed problems. Give it a little time. Also if you post and it seems to take a long time wait a bit and see if it goes through. If you keep trying to post you wind up with multiple posts all saying the same thing.

Its brand new and it may have some teething to do.  Beyond that everyone stay safe.

I am not sure of they are still teaking the forum, but I am sure they are tweaking it still.  (I also hope they are going to tweak the size and placement of the smileys, which is a bit off...)

I tried on my Android tablet and it looks fine and works well there.  It may be iphone incompatible. You'll have to get a good phone. May I suggest a Windows phone?

You do that the full view is meant for laptops and desktops where the essentials only is for small displays such as an iphone.

I say, go back and look at Gearslutz.com, if you think this forum is bad. This new forum is miles beyond any of that, and beyond the older Cakewalk forum. I only have two minor, very minor gripes, but those are totally outweighed by the fact that I can actually use Firefox now.

With that said, the company they bought this forum from may be different from the previous company, and should offer good support to CW until the kinks are all worked out. I do wish I could have been in on the testing, but I think it tested out pretty well. At least I've not had any crashes on this forum like I did with Opera in the old one.

There used to be a little icon that showed what threads you had posted in. Is it moved, or has it become a drop down selection?

It just locked up on me. I had been doing some other things and had left the forum open. I refreshed then clicked on a thread (this one). Some things disappeared from the page, the thread URL was in the address bar but the Coffee House page was wtill displayed. Some pictures had a little blue circle and slash and nothing worked. I had to close the browser window and open another... not a lot of trouble and maybe it wont happen again.

John, make sure you're switched over to "Full Version" (and not Essentials) - the icon to show which threads you've participated in will appear over on the right...
