Forum software keeps removing posts upon editing

Just a little warning: the forum software seems to eliminate posts if edited twice shortly after posting (e.g. for fixing typos). This has happened more than once; just recently in this thread (http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3571994)

    your not alone bro.
This happened to me as well (since January I believe) I removed my cookies, cleaned my cache and the problem went away temporarily. but now its reared its ugly head again.

Its frustrating because you leave a nice long detailed message helping someone and then "Poof" ! its gone.
But I know once I make an edit to a previous comment, hit "Reply" and the comment disappears. its as if you never posted at all.
Good way to delete comments I guess

Only happens to me upon editing a post. And its not all the time either.
It is probably Cakewalks Spam filter or cookies, cache, browsing history. I don't know.

yeah, same here. mostly firefox in use, sometimes IE.

first I thought that my post gone missing was intended ... like "that's what you deserve for posting alternative facts" ;-) but then half a day later I had an email message that my message was restore from some recycle bin and the post was there again (of course, meanwhile superseded by more alternative facts)

I reckon reading/editing before submitting 1st time is the key???

OK. apparently I'm too stupid for the suggested read/edit before submit ... but not going to change the typo above as it may just make the post disappear again ...

This happens to me all the time, LOL!!!  It has gotten so bad that now I am more inclined to let a typo go, than to risk having a post deleted by editing it.  I used to think it was somehow related to a link I was attempting to post, but it now happened with several text only posts.  Using Firefox.

So rather than edit my last post, I will add this here ...

I have also noticed that once I have seen my post deleted, I am then blocked from any further posts to that thread.

I have tried logging out of Cakewalk, closing the browser, deleting cookies, clearing browser cache, etc.  But it still won't let me post again in that thread.  However, another thread seems to work just fine.  Weird!

Strange. I use Chrome and frequently edit posts for typos immediately after posting - sometimes multiple times - and have never lost a post that way that I can recall.

Likely the spam blocker removed the post and when

half a day later I had an email message that my message was restore from some recycle bin and the post was there again (of course, meanwhile superseded by more alternative facts)

    a host restored the post.

I just restored http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3571994 which was deleted by the spam blocker and suspect a message was automatically sent about it.
