Forum software
I'm noticing that with the new updates that Windows just put out for 7 x64, the forum software works again. All except for having to click on the page to get it to move with the scroll wheel.

TBH Ol'pal, I never really pay attention to the Windows updates. There were several I got the other day and ever since, the forum has been working quite well.

Guitarpima, I think you're right. Yorolpal, it's some updates that just showed up earlier today. There were 9 of them, including the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.

I probably have mine turned off. I'll check and see if there are any and get em installed. Thanks for the heads up!

Let me clarify what I mean by agreeing that the forum software is working fine again. What I mean is that I'm not getting the "No Records to Display" messages, as you pointed out in another thread, but I still get the hanging before a post is made, and the hanging when I stay on a page reading for a while before I hit the number for the next page. This is the only site IE 9 is having problems with, such as that. The software we had before the switch to this forum software was way better. I wish Cake would get some forum software that worked as well as the old forum software, but secure enough to sastisfy them.

You had me excited there for a minute. I saw there were a load of W7 updates yesterday and so thought maybe there was an IE9 one that made the forum work better, but no such luck then. It's the forum software that seems incompatible with IE9. The incessant hanging is a real pain.

I'm reading this on Firefox Portable (the .exe is on a memory stick) and it's SO much smoother than using any flavour of IE.
