Forums seem overly quiet
Since the fixes started appearing, this forum seems somewhat quiet. I guess it was so active when X1 first came out and the chaos was going on. I was just wondering if so many people left Sonar as thier platform and moved to something else, or are we all busy making music. This forum has always been one of my favorite places to visit over the years and if it weren't for you guys I would not have been able to learn as much about audio and midi as I do. Just seems that the topics are stuck on just a few threads that are old instead of new info. Not complaining, just wondering. I noticed also that the Producer and Studio forum is just about dead in there. I know we have to move on to the new X1 way of doing things, but it is sad to see that forum so quiet. Again, Thanks to Brandon, Seth, and all the guys for hanging in there thru all the flak. I know it has been a tough go but it looks like we all may have turned the corner.

Quiet? This is still more active than the "regular" SONAR forum has been in several years. And strikingly many newcomers here. It's SONAR Producer etc. forum that's gotten quiet. Not to mention Home Studio, LE and Music Creator, sometimes only 2-3 posts a week.
SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre - Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc. The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

Well, "Gearslutz" is probably the last place in the universe, but I've had some good tips and discussion there.

I'm one of the big complainers on this forum, but I have since moved on to a functional DAW so I only come here very rarely. Studio One Pro is now my DAW of choice. Unfortunately I'm stuck with Sonar when I need to work on older projects. Until they fix CWBRN-1336, Sonar is a useless pile of junk to me. I've decided I'm no longer going to wait around and hope the next patch fixes this very old bug, all while endlessly paying for updates. At least Studio One can get basic MIDI routing right. No more bleeding MIDI events over to the wrong tracks, and no more crashing when having more than one VSTi sending MIDI events out. What a concept!

According to the latest Studio One reference manual addendum: "It is now possible to specify a Record Offset in milliseconds under the Options/Advanced/MIDI menu, in order to correct for incorrect timing with any MIDI device." I checked, the setting is available in the latest version.

I checked, the setting is available in the latest version. I'm talking about real-time MIDI echo delay. I hit a key, and the echoed MIDI comes back out of my interface approx. 13ms later (2ms for normal hardware delays plus 11ms for S1 to echo it). No way an offset is going to make that go away.
