Can you report back when you get a chance on what this book is like and is it worth downloading. I didn't get the email yet, but I'm sure I will, not sure I have time to wade through it. If it's for editing live actual drum tracks, then I probably don't need it. Virtual? Oh yeah, baby.

It's a quick read, just 17 well-organized pages with lots of screenshots.

Just how relevant it will be to your world depends on how you approach drum programming. If you're over 40 or into classic genres, chances are you don't equate quantization with "tightening the groove". However, it does explain the mechanics of splitting clips at transients, something everybody will have occasion to do now and again, regardless of whether you're into electronic dance music or not.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Thanks, Bit, I had the same reaction to the "tighten the groove" description, as I am a generation over 40, ha ha.But probably worth taking a look at.
