Free Ajatar Kantele for Knotakt and player

Free  or Knotakt
"The Ajatar Kantele is a sample-based, digital recreation of a finnish zither instrument called the kantele. The instrument has a long history rooted in the finnish national epic, the Kalevala, and is the national instrument of Finland. The name Ajatar refers to a female woodland spirit in the stories of Kalevala."
I have not tried it yet says it works with Knotakt 4 player also.

    As for it working in Kontakt player?  Normally only licenced libraries (ie the developer has paid NI a large sum of cash) will work in player. Others will function in demo mode and cut out after 30 mins.

    Finished downloading the close mic version, and it sounds great. I think I will find a use for this one! Getting the other two now...

    Yes - demos sounded great. Some times these specalist 'labour of love' type libraries turn up something special.
     
    I am in Dubai with no DAW but I do have a bit of band width . I downloaded all three in a hour and a half.  Now I have to wait a few weeks before I can try it out.

    Hardware is the issue. I have Sonar 6 on my work laptop and access to a Yamaha XG home keyboard which I use (MIDI only) for sketching out ideas to take further when I am on leave. But its not up to running VSTis or recording audio. I don't want to be lugging two laptops around as there is insufficient free time to make it really worth the effort and cost

    Sounds good. I'm happy they did it properly, because I really like the sound of kantele. OTOH, I wouldn't think Sibelius Academy had let out anything that isn't done with serious concentration. It's the institute that has produced "nearly half" of the most successfull orchestra conductors in the world during the past 20-30 years.
