Free CA-2A From Cakewalk, But Can't Get it Installed
I got an email from Cakewalk today offering a free CA-2A. It made me download Command Center, which I did, and the CA-2A appears as a download, but when I click "Install" I get the following error message: Cannot locate the required version of the program on this system. Please install the correct version of this program to use this pack. Same message when I try to download directly from my Cakewalk account. Any ideas? For reference, here's the email.
"We wanted to reach out and let you know about our latest announcement. Cakewalk is giving away the CA-2A Leveling Amplifier for a limited time only. It’s as simple as that. This isn’t a sale, contest, or annoying share button for your friends on social media. We simply want to give you something that we’re incredibly proud of. In addition to giving it away for free, we’ve also updated it a bit and made it ready for both PC and Mac platforms. So if you’re interested, click the link below to grab your version of the CA-2A Leveling Amplifier."

Hey pwalpwal, I don't but that's not listed as a requirement anywhere. They're just saying this one's a freebie with no strings attached.

I tested it with new account using another email address. (Forgive me cakewalk, It is just test. I'll never use it and I'll never give it to someone.) No problem getting a serial number and Registration code. Check your 'my product' page. I believe that works for non-Command-Center version.

Actually, I had a plan to buy CA-2A when it would be on sale. (I think $49 or something close is great.) Although I have a NI's one, After Demoing CA-2A and Other LA-2A emu, I think It is one of the best La-2a Emu, So I just wanted it. Now I've got this one for free. TOTALLY Satisfied Cakewalk Customer!! Feel like Christmas!!

I downloaded the file from my account page and I still get the same error message when I try to install it without going through Command Center. I'm wondering now if it's for Platinum users only?

Perhaps the issues are OS related. I'm on Windows 10 x64 bit and having problems. How about the rest of you folks?

This is an updated version with a new Command Center compatible installer. Those who already have the plug-in should grab the update.

When I opened Command Center today I saw the Red Box for CA2A listed at the top of the screen, but I already have the CA2A installed in my DAW. I think there was an update to it as well because I had to perform an update to mine. There was an orange button available next to the name and the button was for an update that was listed under the box. I didn't receive an email about CA2A being given away for free.

hmm, the download from above link is the ccc installer, but if i go to my account i get the stand-alone installer this could be made more obvious! installer didn't ask for any reg/serial number... but it's running in demo mode - how do i enter the reg/serial code(s)?

I opened CCC and it was listed at the top of the installed program list. I installed it from the CCC, didn't have to go to the Cakewalk site to download.
