Free Direct-X Plugins

I'm preparing to do a couple demo albums and I want to know where on the web I can find some good Direct-X Plugins for free. I'm looking for some good, reverbs, chrous, compression, limiting, and noise reduction. Yeah I know I should just buy the adapter, but I rather just save up and decide if I should get Sonar Home Studio or the newest version of Magix. Also if anyone's has Magix and thinks it's good buy please tell me because due to price I believe that's the program I am going to get.

Search for Blue Line plugins, and then search KVRaudio.com for freebies. I'll be honest, most free DX plugs suck. I'd look into getting the adapter or just move on to Home Studio. You wouldn't be bad off with DirectiXer and Cake's adapter, however. It might still be a good purchase.

    Hope this helps.

I would save for home studio, since magix is nice program, but the implimentaion is not as good as HS, the version of magix is kind of like MC here it is a light version of Samplitude. like MC is a lite version of Sonar.

Hs is a cut up from there.

Appreciate the help. I got the Blueline effects. Their ok, but not great and the noise gate sucks, but I'll be in a better standing once I get Cubase. I buying a Tascam US-224 audio/midi interface and it comes with a version of Cubase. Depending on how the the midi implementation is in Cubase I'll probably do all my midi recording in MC.

One thing before dropping cash on the tascam, make sure it is not USB 1.1, that is just to slow for audio work.

Here are some great options http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=rec/navigation?N=100001+304741+8&page=1 Especcially look at the E-MU1212M superior AD/DA convertors and a lot of features, It will mean getting a mixer of sorts but still money well spent.
