    Hi Royarn
Having the same issue here, unzips to 99% then stops. Tried on two different machines and downloads with no success.

Hi,guys. I had the same issue with the installer showing 99% and stopping. I stopped the installer opened DimPro standalone, opened the browser, and the strings didn't show. PRESS F5 with the browser open. The patch list re-scans and you should see the string folder on your list. Kinda wierd but there is a bug in the installer I guess. BTW, let it sit on 99% for a little while to make sure that it is done.

I take benefit from this thread to ask you what do you think about those strings ? Apparently, no "round robin" samples, and so for fast staccatos : machine gun effect guaranteed ! But maybe, they have other qualities ?

I think you just need to be patient.

I thought my download had stalled at 92%. I left it alone for about 20 minutes, came back to find it had all installed during my absence.

Hi John Sidroe and Outlandish music, thanks for your replies. So I'm not alone here, I've downloaded them on another pc and they unzip properly but cant transfer them to my music pc on either a stick or dvd. I'll try sidroe's way, then download them from my music pc which I only use internet on minimally if it don't work for me.

My impression is it is a very nice string library for a give-away but I don't think I would have paid 150 smackers for it. Don't get me wrong! It is useable. It kind of reminds me of the old E-mu and Akai libraries. It is rather cramped as far as the roundrobins and so forth. 150 will get you Garritan which is not the be-all of string libraries but very much a giant leap over the DSF strings. I have LSO as well but it can be pricey. Don't expect these strings to be your go to orchestra but still very nice to have as an extra.

Thanks Sidroe, I'll give this a try tonight. I'll also leave the installer to sit for while as BJ did just in case its just slow unpacking the files.

my dilemma is choosing between the IK multimedia total studio 3 or going all out and snagging NI's Komplete. I really want Peavey's Re-Valver as well for my main amp sim and I am of the opinion that Amplitube is better than Guitar Rig. Currently have Pod Farm and need to upgrade that for $99 as well. So far in demoing TH2 I am not impressed but it sounds better than guitar rig. I've read that people who own the Axe FX claim Re Valver is the closest sim to the real deal and some say enough so achieving they are considering selling their Axe FX. Of course there is the Kemper as well and if $$$ was not an issue I'd just have one of each and be done with it. To make matters worse I play keys as well and that is a big drain on my guitar playing time as well because lately I have been researching all the top vsts that are free and recently concluded my research on VSTi's and will be deleting many I find less than worthy of my attention from my hard drive this weekend. Several hundred were evaluated and I am only keeping the top 100 or so.

I have and use Amplitube 3, GTR, Pod Farm, and don't forget Acme Bar Gig. I don't have ReValver but have used it in other studios. It is very impressive. I am really liking what I'm hearing with Scuffham. It sounds warm and natural to my ear. I haven't had time to really blow thru TH2 yet as far as tweaks but it sounds pretty good. I have to say I prefer Amplitube over GTR. GTR sounds very harsh on overdriven sounds. Amp 3 sounds a little rounder. If I work on a track I know is going on to a record, I break out the amps and mics. The amp sims make life much easier but I am afraid they will never beat the sound of a good tube amp with the right mic and the right positioning. I use the amp sims to flesh out the demo but if it goes to a record 9 times out of 10 it will be the real deal. If I were going to use one or the other sim it would be Amp 3! Drum roll, please............. Amp 3, Scuffham, Revalver. Pick one.
