The_Retrofits You have a real grasp of the fullness that can be achieved through really good use of mixing, compression and the like. How did you get that voice to stand out so strong and ambiently? That's what I'd like to know! Well done. Did you have it mastered or do the mastering yourself? Take care, Martin B. Here you are! Thanks for your patience!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbrATSeXiAA

Jamz0r Checked out the video, very nice! Mix sounds great! Thanks Jamz0r! Plenty of times I was thinking like Sonar while editing the video on Sony Vegas! My good friend Earle Holder mastered it for me.

really nice rich! the piano at the beginning sounds like you recorded a real grand. the horns I'm not sure about for all of the song, - some parts sound really great (the sax is excellent). excellent vocals! great production on the video, too! there's a nice male backup that's not shown near the end - nice touch. really nice production, nice work all around!

Thanks Beagle. The piano recorded is actually from the Roland fantom stock sounds. Thought about using ivory, but this worked. Thanks for the feedback on the horns too. They were live mixed with NI. Just something layed back. The sax was live. I spoke with a contact in the UK and they wanted more, so here I go! LOL!!

Fantastic job!! Love the song and the video was just great!!...here's my only crit if you could move the dance scenes somewhere other then that studio...the fan on the floor, the window dressings (or lack of) the stool and fire extinguisher reek of "home video"...where as the other shots rise above that feel...again nothing at all to do w/the dancing (which was great) but the location brings the whole work down.... but with that said its still an A+ all the way round!!

Awesome Rich. Great tune. Great production. The singer does a great job. I don't care about the mix. whether it's good or bad I mean. But since this is the Sonar forum, I could say that something about the snare bugs me a little. It's hard to get that upfront tite snare sound where it's like right in your face but then it's not if you know what I mean. Maybe cut a little on the low mids. idunno. The guitar chorusy effect thing was a little bothersome also as I don't think it needs it or that much of it. Thanks Tim
