"Ideal for individual tracks and full mixes alike". The software industry is only a little more than half a century old and already has achieved the pinnacle of perfection, the ideal. Further research and development is no longer necessary. These are truly wonderful times we live in!

Who'd have guessed that the ideal compressor would have no attack and release settings, no sidechaining, no ratio adjustment and no mix control?

Jeez, what a sad curmudgeon I must be, knocking a free giveaway. I'm sorry, I'm sure it's worth every penny.

I knew a guy that was making a really nice tube compressor. At the time I knew nothing about compressors, just that it made tracks sound better. That particular tubetronix compressor had only one knob. Turn it up until you reach perfection. Very expensive and made with great parts, but just one knob.

I joke. But I signed up for it anyway. Who can resist a freebie? And I'm already on Waves' spam list anyhow, so there's no danger in giving them my email address one more time.

My problem is that I long ago reached the maximum number of plugins and now must remove something to add a new one, so even a freebie has to earn its keep or get tossed into the junk drawer.

That's what I would like to know.  After spending time jumping though all the hoops before finally downloading it, I eventually lost interest and didn't bother to install it.  Is this plugin worth having?  I already have Voxengo Elephant and IK Brickwall Limiter.

I don't know if there's a limit to the number of plug-ins in my host, but, even if they're well organized, I prefer to keep as little installed as I possibly can.

Yeah, ten of them... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63GCnWA-NO0  Got to hand it to Waves they have seen that the music software market is changing and they are now extremely competitive.

I agree...it will definitely serve a purpose....a subtle lift never hurt, especially when needed.

And saves a whole lot of tweaking..LOL

I mean, really, how often does a company GIVE AWAY an $80 plugin?  Gotta give 'em credit.  They're
doing the BAIT thing right.  And with all the WUP's they'll be adding...they're cementing their market share.
    It's brilliant marketing, that's all I'm sayin'....

It'll probably come around again. Turn the volume up on your master track and you're basically there.

It was a one day deal Teds...

And turning up the Master track volume won't do what the plug does...

    It's a mild compressor/maximizer...and works pretty well.

    Sorry you missed it.

Ted, if you had your heart set on this plugin, I'm sure one of the many who got it will be willing to sell it to you cheap in a few weeks. Put a WTB thread on kvr's Market Place forum. But I really don't think you're missing out on much.

cclarry's right: turning up the volume won't do the same thing. You'd also have to add a compressor, then turn the volume up.
