Freeze not working right for me - suggestions please?

I recorded a Trilian Bass track using the Sustain Fender (ie Notes All Sustain when held down) and inserted the Cakewalk Fx Midi Transpose "Down an Octave" after the recording.

The Freeze doesn't seem to be working right for me as I get these results:

When "Freeze Settings with Fast Bounce" is checked : no sustained notes (cut off) but transposed down an octave.

When "Freeze Settings with Fast Bounce" is unchecked : notes sustain but no transposition.

There must be a setting I am missing...

The MIDI track has a transpose option that does not require a plugin. Remove the transpose plugin and turn off fast bounce and you should be good to go.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

thanks bitflipper, it worked as you suggested...

...my next question is:  why does this Freeze have to be done in real time?

I don't have Trillian so I can't speak to it specifically, but this isn't unheard of in the world of sample players. Sometimes they need to play out a sample in real time to avoid cutting off sample tails. I don't know why that is. It might even be a bug in the product. If you can create a very small project that shows the problem, the folks at Spectrasonics might be interested in seeing it.

I don't recall this issue with my other DAW, however I will confirm this later today.
