Freeze option for one of my synth's not available?

Freeze option for one of my synth's not available?

In my synth rack on the right, one of my synths does not let me freeze it. The freeze button is grayed out. Anyone know how to fix this?

Sonar X1 Producer Expanded 64-bit
Computer: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4Ghz, 8GB RAM, Windows 8 
Interface: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2

    Is it frozen already? 

    IS it MIDI only?

    Tried a reboot:?

    Just some ideas ...
