Freeze tail duration

Is it normal that "Freeze tail duration" works only for freezing Track FX? I wanted to freeze synth and let effects working to set them, and I disabled "Track FX" in freeze options. It lead freezing to hard cut audio after last note ending. But synth sound has long release and it is unacceptable, and I believe tail must be added anyway if there is setting for it.

Just drag your last MIDI clip (slip edit) out to the desired length. That will determine where the freeze bounce stops.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

You can set a render tail length here:

It works, thank you!

It doesn't work in my case, unfortunately.

I guess I need to figure out how this is happening.  I'm getting the same result regardless of the Clip Tail Duration setting.

There are separate freeze options.

Yes, but if you disable "Track FX" option, "Freeze tail duration" stops working, and you have to expand midi clips, as bitflipper has suggested.
