Freezing track & CPU

Does a frozen synth use the same CPU as no synth on the track? One thing I am trying to see is if I should delete track synths after freezing them to maximize CPU or if freezing them does the same thing. I know if I freeze a Track synth/vsi like guitar rig it disables the synth. What happens when you freeze a rack synth track? Is that more like an audio "bounce" and the synth stays active/using CPU in the rack?

Either way, the synth and fx bin of the track is disabled when you freeze. So, no a frozen synth doesn't use CPU.

But if you just freeze the synth, the Track Fx bin is still "live"

That's what I am wondering also what is the cpu usage of "on" vs "Disabled" What is the differences between rack and track placements? What would be the reason for using the rack vs track if both do the same thing.

"That's what I am wondering also what is the cpu usage of "on" vs "Disabled" I have been trying for some time to get a answer for this. I wonder who would know for sure?
