Friend did a merit badge in scouts making a fuzz pedal from one of Craig's books

And that was in the 80s.

I went looking online, but while there are lots of books by Craig Anderton describing how to make pedals, I couldn't see any that old.

Anyway, I thought it was outrageously cool that he was building his own pedals in the 80s and cooler that it was with Craig's guidance. I'm guessing knowing him that it could have been before 1984, but I'm not sure.

I asked if he had the book and he said he had borrowed it to do the project.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

My friend said it was a seminal work at the time.

I had an Anderton book back in the early 80's that somebody borrowed and never returned ... I think it was called Electronic Projects for Musicians (I will have to go check that now).  Kinda' wish I still had it as I have saved a few of the books from when I was a kid.

Wondering if it was similar to a plug-in Mr. Anderton later designed for Steinberg - QuadraFuzz it was called IIRC.

right here on the book shelf.

Maybe someday I'll be able to ask Craig if he will autograph them for me.
