From the impractical features department...

My old MP3 player finally went black screen, so I was looking for something new. Apparently it is not enough to play music in today's modern world of the future, so postage stamp photo viewing is a must. That is OK for album art I guess, but I was astounded by one of the little beasties that boasted a 1 inch square viewing screen and an e-book reader. Is anyone young enough to read a page of text reduced to 1 inch?

Does anyone have any advice for an MP3 player that is not audiophile expensive. And don't tell me to use my smartphone, I get all the service I need from a dumb flip phone for less than $40.00 a year via pay as you go.

PS The ability to watch wide screen movies on a 1 inch screen is not critical to my choice.

    Hi,

I had one, and then gave it away ... because it was an Apple, and I did not like the software. Haven't used one of those since ... why? ... I listen to music ... and not as a background, or escape.

The bad part? Half the music I have, is not on mp3, and I would have to do all of it ... in fact, half the albums I have are not even on a CD yet, and probably never will be!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

Another Sansa Clip+ user here. I looked at a lot of other players before settling on this one.
