Frozen... Darkness...

Hey everyone!  It's been a while, I have that tendency to get pulled away from music to other projects and whatnot... but music always calls me back.  So, I closed out my "Surreal Nightmares" album and started a new one, "Legion of Dreams".  I just completed this song "Frozen... Darkness..." last night and "Premonitions" a week ago.

Feels good to be back at music composition again!

Hi Luke. I think you have some creative ideas. I am not well versed in Metal or Metal like hybrids, so I cannot speak much to the mix, other than that my impression is its a bit lacking in dynamics and punch.

[rant] I really disklike reverbnation.  I clicked on the song, clicked on the player transport, waited, clicked again, nothing, clicked again and it finally started playing.  seems like it does something similar almost every time I'm there. [/rant]

I'm not an expert on this genre, but this is pretty cool.  I was hoping for a more drastic change at 1:22 than what you gave us.  then the drastic change came at 2:00 (which is good cause I was starting to get bored with it).  I really like what you've done after that point.  love the driving guitar and the counter lead and the drums seem to sit well in the mix.

    good work!

You really have a knack for dark progressions and melodies.  The performances are very tight and robust on my system.  There are places in the songs where I'm waiting for something else to happen, but not too many.  Overall, there's nothing wrong with your engineering or playing skills.

    All the best,
    Lynn
