Frozen tracks get muted and recording is offset

Some odd behavior:

Froze a track, and the track seemed to be muted after. The meter indicated there was audio, however no audio on that track was being played, all other tracks were playing, some were frozen. I un froze and it played just fine. froze again and it was muted again. I tried several different times thinking maybe I am missing somthing. Nope, it play, then I freeze, then it is muted.

While recording/tracking, everything seemed fine, no latency, recording vocals, hearing everything like it should be while recording. Done with the take (hit the stop button) and the audio we just recorded has moved about a measure ahead of where it was supposed to be. I did nothing but cllick stop on the transport. This happened several times. I was able to move the new recorded track exactly one measure back (snap to grid was on) and it was where it was supposed to be. Strange
