Frustrated

I bought a new computer to put x3 on with audio m track plus. What's the best way to transfer songs to new computer? The problem I'm having is adding new vocal tracks to projects. Plays back fine but during recording stop skips latency stuff. Thanks for any help

There could be a million reasons for this.

Please post your new machine specs - especially your audio interface and the audio buffer size.  Make sure you are using the latest drivers for all of your hardware (Mainly audio interface, graphics card and USB controller - if using using for audio interface)  .

Are you using WDM/KS, WASAPI, MME(32bit)? or ASIO (ASIO being preferred)

Also, you might like to change the title to something like "high latency and skips during recording" or similar - that will get more attention.  A separate thread should be posted to address the question of "What's the best way to transfer songs to new computer?"

FWIW there have been numerous reports of issues with older M-Audio interfaces and newer computers.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!
