Fusing two portions of a whole

I delete a portion of a record. how am I to fuse the portions left? I thought I knew what I was doing but...I figured there was some kind od F11 or what ever button would just bring together two portions that had been seperated by delete and I figured "they" wouldnt have made it that much more than . to make parts just become.

When you cut off a portion, just use "Cut>Delete hole" so everything is done with one click.  I think it should work for the empty area as well, but I'm not sure.

There is a way to delete measures, I just don't remember the details now, and I'm not sure about possible differences between LE and other versions.
Otherwise one obvious option is to select the portion you want to move, and drag it left.

Kalle: I may be wrong but I got the impression that the OP has deleted a middle portion of an audio clip and wishes to join together the two remaining clips.

Damien: If so, select the clips, right click and chose "Bounce to Clips".

    If not, please clarify.
