Fuzz during playback?

I don't know why my machine is doing this. Whenever Sonar plays back audio, or whenever I press a key on my MIDI board, there is a great deal of fuzz, almost like its clipping. So I tried exporting an .mp3 to see how that went, and the .mp3 came out fine. Weird.

Has anyone ever had similar problems? I've tried looking around for help or other solutions but I was unable to find anything on this.

I am using a ASUS M4A88T-V EVO/USB3 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard and I don't understand what you mean by driver mode? All of my drivers are updated, I'm not sure how/what its running though?

I listened to your recording - That's the sound from a built in sound card, like the one you're trying to use.  I'm familiar with that sound from when I first started using a computer for recording and didn't realize that the on board sound card wouldn't be adequate for the job.  You need to get a separate audio interface that uses Asio drivers to successfully use Sonar.

Yes.  Audio interfaces replace your soundcard.

Thank you for the help, good sir. I'm probably gonna pick up an M-Audio FireWire solo... unless somebody knows of something equal but better.
