Fx bin plug ins don't work.

Fx bin plug ins don't work.

For example,  I have 8.5 and my guitar rig 4 works fine and works fine standing alone.  When I drop GR in the fx bin of X1,  it does not work.  Neither do other plug ins and fx I drop into it.
 
Help

    running as admin? uac turned off? full plugin re-scan?

    What is UAC?  I re-scanned plug ins.. 

    I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

    Slightly O/T... sorry nchardy!

    Out of curiosity, why would I want to run everything as admin. and turn UAC off?? I do turn off UAC (reboot), log on to my admin. account in Win 7, right-click on the installer to run as an admin., but once I'm done with an installation, I turn UAC back on (reboot) and log into a "standard" user account to do my work. I've never had any issues whatsoever... never.

    And especially if you're using your DAW to browse the net, who in their right minds would want to do this under an admin. account with UAC turned off? Seriously.

    uac has been known to cause some security-related issues, especially in the program files hive; happily, the longer win7's about, the less likely this is (as things become 'compliant')... personally, i turn uac off because i hate being prompted, i only use a single account
