GT 4 and Line6 Guitar Port: freeze

GT 4 and Line6 Guitar Port: freeze

Just purchased and loaded GT4 on my notebook running Vista home 32 bit

Using Line 6 Guitar Port which was already on the notebook for use with another recording program (Riffworks)

When I plug in Guitar Port, this happens:

If GT running, it freezes (hourglass runs incessantly)
if GT not running, GT will not load

Any feedback appreciated

    Have you tried to use the knowledge base article here? also have you updated line 6 drivers and monkey to the latest version? Have you also tried a reinstall?
