[Solved] Gain knob on cloned track

Just noticed a reproducible oddity.

Create an audio track. Change the gain setting, say to -5db.

Clone the track, making sure you choose to clone all properties.

The new track replicates the old exactly, with pan, fader, sends, whatever else. However, the gain knob on the new track is back at zero.

Even odder, the actual gain setting does seem to be replicated, just not displayed. Turning the gain knob gets the display and the actual gain back in sync.

Note that this all turns out the same whether you use the inspector / console knob, or the track view slider.

I can confirm that gain settings are not being replicated when a track is cloned.
    SONAR Platinum Version 22.3.0 BUILD 71 [2016.03] - x64

Gain settings are also not saved in Track Templates.
IIRC this has already been posted in Problem Reports.

Track templates do need an overhaul ... just realized the other day that bus output to (sub)outputs of the audio card are not preserved (which would qualify as bug) and, of course, colours (the oldest of all feature requests since templates got introduced) need to be saved ... and the option to save/import for buses only (without requiring a dummy track)

For a "how long can this go on" comment, those comments should only come from those with an 18 month or two year history.

I'm not generally one to become impatient about long-standing bugs; I understand that there are priorities, and my issues might not be everyone else's. But this is a daily pain for me, and I'd be astonished if the fix wasn't a trivial one. So I sympathise with Ian here.
